Jim & Debbie Dahl and Bill Kramer arrived Monday evening to join the setup crew. They have been a big help so far. Lots of action on the building scene. The septic tank & system went in Tuesday morning

the motor & outdrive went on the bayliner Tuesday afternoon thank you Bill Kramer & Ed Shoemaker

and we finished framing the Restroom. This is Jim Dahl hanging the doors.

As of now the restroom is almost sheeted on the outside, and all the electrical is complete, thanks to LeAnn Peterson & daughter Kendra.

We did take a break during the low water period yesterday & let loose on the salmon.

Ed Clark battling one of the 6 fish he pulled in Wednesday.

Davis Peterson, not to be outdone also limited

Ed & Janet Clark are trying out our new fish cleaning station which is working GREAT!

Our fish count is 38 silvers so far. We are going out again today for a couple of hours. We should be able to increase that count a bit. Luke & Davis have a couple of boats in the water so we can attack by land & sea!

We had a great Wednesday night service last night with several members of the local community attending.

Well I’m off to catch a few silvers, then back to work.

We’ve had another cancellation & currently we can take up to 4 people for Camp 6 (7/28 to 8/1) and we can still take 2 more in Camp 5 (7/21-7/25)  If you have any questions give us a call at camp (907) 846-5359

The first wave of help has arrived. We are glad to welcome Ed & Janet Clark and Davis, LeAnn, and Kendra Peterson. We got up today to get to work & where did I find the new help?

Should have guessed. LeAnn caught the first silver & her husband Davis was close behind with his.

Ed & Janet Clark were also down trying their hand. We finally got them up for breakfast and then went to the local church.

The “Crew” on our way to church.

We finally did get started on the restroom after lunch.

The site before construction

Cleared & out of the ground

Starting on the floor

Not a bad first day. Ed & Leanne also got the third cabin and the fish station wired, the girls burned some trash, we built two more bunk beds, and the van is cleaned out. Had a great time at church with Jerry. He spoke from John 13 where Jesus gives the additional commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. That happens to be our staff theme this year. We are trying to show Christ’s love in all we do, to give the campers the best experience possible. It was a neat confirmation from God when Jerry spoke on our exact same verses this morning.

More Later…. God Bless
