We were blessed with 3 guys from Cambodia and Thailand in this camp, and they cooked dinner for us one night. It was amazing, to say the least. We could write a thousand words about it…but we’ll just show you a picture…

 It was very tasty.

This was an absolutely AMAZING week for salmon fishing…we seriously think this is the best salmon fishing in the world at the moment. They are biting on almost anything. You can look in any direction and there will be two fish in the air. I’ll upload a video soon.

That being said, week number 5 caught a camp record of salmon…….330 silvers for the week.

The pink salmon are coming in too. Chuck caught the first “humpie” of the year.

here’s the camp photo:

thanks for a great week guys, and congrats on the new camp record!

We met with a couple of Troopers yesterday about the camps guide status.  They informed us even though we as individuals are volunteers and receive no compensation we are representatives of the camp and the camp receives compensation for the campers to be there.  Since the camp provides “fishing services” through its volunteers the camp can be liable for guiding without a license.  A corporation can be charged and the only difference is that the fines for a corporation are much larger than for an individual.  That being said they view this as a compliance issue and just want us to come into compliance.  For this last week we will not be fishing in boats for salmon with the guys or guiding them in any way.  We are able to take the halibut boat out but will not be charging them or collecting any money from them for the trip.  The guys did purchase fuel for the boat though.

We will pursue guide licensing for future years.   We are truly thankful to God for a peaceful resolution.
