Gary & Ed have done a fantastic job.  Two weeks ago fabricating our own boats was not even a consideration.  It hadn’t even come up as a possibility in conversation –  and today we were loading the finished boats on a trailer.  They are awesome!

  • 16′-4″ Overall Length
  • 60″ inside bottom width
  • 80″ beam at stern
  • Entire boat welded & fabricated from .125″ thick 5086 Aluminum – That’s pretty heavy aluminum considering the Lowe Boats we were considering are made from .072″ thick aluminum.  These things are bulletproof!
  • They each have a 5′ front deck to fish from.
  • We put floor boards in them.  The whole boat is open so you can walk around with ease.  They are wide & roomy.

Praise God!

A special thanks to Bill Kramer for the use of his boom truck.

The bottom boat is an older Valco 17′ Aluminum boat that we picked up earlier this year.

Loaded & Ready for the road.  Pray that loading the rest of our stuff goes well.  Lord willing we will pull out of here Sunday late afternoon. (tomorrow)

  1. Wow! Those boats look absolutely beautiful. What a blessing to be able to build them from scratch, but I know that took a lot of sweat, time and talent on Gary and Ed’s part.
With those 3 and the Tracker, we’ll be fishing with some incredible stuff.

Mark, BTW I’ll be bringing up two more anchor buddies, so if a low tide presents itself early in the season, maybe we could get the second anchor spot ready for mooring.

We’ll be praying for safe travels. Anxious to see you guys.
