It’s the beginning of August, and we celebrated with a bang!

Well, not really a bang, but how does 2 limits of silvers sound?

Mark and Dave caught these Sunday morning, before church. See how silver they are? There are definitely still new fish coming into the bay, which is unusual for this time of year. We’re not complaining though!

The fish have been biting on chartreuse Flying C lures, but many of the guys have been snagging as well, and bringing in limits of silvers as well as quite a few pinks.

The weather has been very hot, in the 70s, which has made for some enjoyable halibut fishing as well. Four of the guys went out on Tuesday in our little boats and had an enjoyable time. They caught several rockfish, and John reeled in a nice halibut.

Matt and Jake went out a second time to a different spot, that we trailered one of our little boats to. It was extremely calm, and they also had a fantastic time. They were also successful………

….with a 140 lb halibut!

Congrats Matt, you now hold the record for the largest halibut caught at fish camp this season.

They had a fantastic time reeling this bad boy in, and they were all smiles when they got back to camp.

The fish are still in!!
