What a great week.  The fishing was fantastic but the  fellowship was even better.  The Van Valin brothers dubbed us with a new name – 153 Meat Camp.  We did pack a lot of meat this week – 283 Silvers and 654 lbs of halibut.  What a great bunch of guys!

We had some great discussion during the Bible study time as we looked at I Peter 4:1-11.  This group was a pleasure to serve and we appreciate Howard Hooper for putting it together.  Thanks Guys

  1. Mark,
just returned from the “153 meat camp”. What a great time in God’s country! Thanks so much to you and your family for the great support during our stay. The meals were excellent and our study in Peter was personally challenging to me. Grandpa Jerry had the “fishing trip of a lifetime”.

    Thanks again.

Btw in the picture you misspelled Isaac’s name.

My wife posted some of the pics at her blog: kristikronzblog.blogspot.com

If you are ever in nampa look us up.

  2. Joe, this is Luke.
Thanks for the encouraging comment. Glad to hear you had such a great time. Hope to maybe see you again one of these years!
I’ll remember you next time we’re in Nampa.

Glad you had a great week. It was our pleasure.

Sorry about the misspelling. We must have had a brain fart. I’ll fix it right away.

  3. Gentlemen.

What a great week. I just returned to Boise and distributed the last of the frozen salmon to Jerry.

Dad and I burned the road up in 21 hours from Rupert to Athol. Dad gets the hard core award for driving the 11pm to 6am shift. (Tracy you can be assurred we didn’t speed. No tourists in either Jasper or Banaff National parks from 4am-9am 🙂

Since the ferry schedule wasn’t helpful we stayed in A B&B in Ketchikan which I’d highly recommend: Captain’s Quarters B&B. Magnitudes better than the Super 8. If you need to stay in Ketchikan, I highly recommend it.

You’ll also be glad to know we had to get back to Sandpoint to get the SE Alaska weather we’ve come to expect: 60 and raining buckets.

Thanks for a wonder week of fellowship and we’ll see you next year!

    HH
